Asad Siddique

aka CNN

Project Manager

Asad has always loved daydreaming and getting lost in his own head. While he wasn’t exactly the sporty or athletic type growing up, he found his own form of escapism, one that kept him endlessly curious, engaged, and entertained.

Although his formal education came through journalism, it was art in all its forms, movies, music, and television, that truly shaped his worldview and tastes. So much so that at the age of 15, he began making films independently, setting himself on a path that would eventually lead him to where he is today: someone with over eight years of experience managing and organizing music events across teams and productions of all shapes and sizes.

Professionally, he is also an experienced photographer, though he mostly loves it for the simple joy of it. Photography gives him a chance to disappear for a while observing, wandering, and quietly capturing moments before reconnecting with people through images that hopefully help them see a version of themselves they love.

When working with others, Asad believes in giving people the space to be themselves. He’s fascinated by the process of how different people think, create, solve problems, and approach their craft. Understanding the technicalities, nuances, and quirks of someone else’s way of working is what broadens horizons. For him, one of the best parts of collaboration is creating something together that none of the individuals involved could have made alone.

Outside of all that, he also likes to make a lot of noise on the guitar!!!!! And he somehow manages to keep everyone up to date with everything happening around them. A true music connoisseur, his encyclopedic knowledge spans artists, genres, stories, and music journalism alike. If there’s a conversation about music happening somewhere, chances are Asad already knows about it.
