Project Description:
Sikka Art Fair, an initiative by Dubai Culture, takes place yearly in the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood. In its eighth edition, the fair included over 150 participations, featuring filmmakers, musicians and performing artists, alongside visual artists, mixed media, installation, sculptures, UAE and GCC based initiatives who took a lead in programming spaces devoted to design, animation, multimedia and workshops as well as community events that engaged families and new audiences.
Various supporting activities also took place to make sure the visitors to the Fair have a variety of things to do and witness:
– Artworks exhibited in Houses, Courtyards and Alleyways
– A main stage with live performances on different genres: music, talks, poetry and stand-up comedy
– An outdoor community cinema area hosted by Loco’motion Dubai
