aka Practicing Misis
She has started out her career in the Philippines for a big streetwear brand and graphic design studio working on E-commerce and Social Media for three years. Moving to Dubai, she handled the same departments for a modern Arabic clothing brand, staying in tune with her flair for the business of fashion. Wanting to experience a new environment, she chose to venture into the creative events industry. Concept creation and execution is not new to her as she successfully sealed the bestselling, widely reviewed and published deal for a t-shirt collaboration with Philippine Senator Miriam Santiago which is called Miriam Says – Team Manila x Miriam Defensor- Santiago, a series of the Senator’s quotes and punchlines delivered in speeches printed on shirts marketed for the youth. She has been a Stylist and Social Media Expert for Pinay Makeover, a Dubai-based non-profit organization working on women’s empowerment. For 2016, she has been included in Illustrado Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Filipinos in the Gulf, recognizing her published book – Practicing Misis Cookbook, a parody cookbook written in prose and narrative. Here at Room-Five with the constant collaboration with clients and esteemed individuals, her skills for writing, concept creation and social media management is honed further.
